Sprinkler Supervision
A sprinkler system is designed for one purpose — to contain and extinguish fires. And it is only useful if it is operational with all critical parts functioning properly. Sprinkler Systems are fairly complex and it is of utmost importance to monitor the system’s integrity at all times.
With a properly functioning system — (2) types of signals are possible utilizing (2) types of devices — water-flow alarm devices and supervisory devices.
Water flow alarm devices send an alarm signal to a monitoring center. This usually happens when there is a fire, a water leak, pressure surges, broken pipes, etc. The monitoring center notifies the fire department and/or the customer.
Sprinkler supervisory devices send a supervisory signal to the monitoring center which represent a condition that could prevent the sprinkler system from functioning properly. The devices can monitor water pressure, air pressure, water and air temperature, water level, fire pumps, pump engines, room temperature, and supply valve conditions. The monitoring center can alert the customer’s representative or building authorities of the potential damaging conditions.
Our capabilities include the monitoring of wet systems, dry systems, pre-action systems and deluge systems and as described earlier — the monitoring center personnel respond to the type and location of the alarm and contact the proper authorities and/or customer.
Our reliable and affordable fire detection and suppression systems comply with strict commercial fire codes that you’re challenged to adhere to. These systems continually monitor for signs of smoke or fire even when no one is in the building. Our manual pull stations are ROP Fire Dept. and UL approved to allow your staff to manually activate the system for quicker emergency help response.
Water damage can add to the cleanup expense when a fire event triggers your emergency sprinkler system. Our water flow supervisor systems monitor emergency water flow to minimize water damage, which can cause more expensive repairs than the fire itself.
If you’re starting a business, moving or expanding or need to upgrade your commercial fire protection system to meet new fire codes, call us. Don’t be overwhelmed by what many consider an arduous and confusing process. We can walk you through design, installation and monitoring setup to make the process easy and painless.
